Locations of Slide Motors in Georgetown 337DS?

Hello. I have just purchased a 2012 Georgetown XL 337DS. I purchased it in Cincinnati and drove it back home to CA. It is great. I do have a question for those of you with this model motor home. Included with the manuals that I was provided at time of purchase is a flexible drill shaft to use in the event that a slide motor fails to function. Apparently, one can manually close a slide in the event of failure. The slides in this model motor home are not hydraulic. They use a cable system. I cannot locate the motors for the two slides - the long slide on the driver's side and the bedroom slide on the passenger side. Does anyone know where the motors are? I thought it would be helpful to have this information before the need arises. Thanks

On my 2011 300FWS, the slide motor is located behind the header above the slide. There are decorative plastic caps over the screws which hold the panel front in place. The slide motor is behind this. Not sure about yours, but I gather the slide motors can also be located below the slide.

looks like you drove a long way,sure hope this is the coach of your dreams and you got a heck of a deal it looks to me like about 725 gal of fuel thatat about $2800 in gas money

I did get a heck of deal on the Georgetown XL. They savings would have paid for me to drive between Cincinnati and CA many times. It turns out a person in Cincinnati ordered the 2012 Georgetown Xl 337DS fully loaded. However, when she picked it up at the dealership, she discovered that she could only open the refrigerator half-way with the slides closed. She didn't like this fact and so she turned around, returned to the dealership, traded in the motorhome, and immediately ordered a different model. As a result, I was able to buy the unit as a USED motorhome although it is a 2012, had just been delivered, and only had 341 miles. I saved lots of money. I was very lucky to get the motorhome. As I was talking to the salesperson over the phone, several people came to the dealership to see the motorhome. I got it because I inquired first. I have a friend who sells these units in AZ and he told me that "I got the deal of the year."

Actually, the gas cost $1,211.23: 7.33 mpg for 2,355 miles at $3.77 per gallon.

And I love the motorhome.

thats great now goforth and enjoy and enjoy and enjoy that sound like decent mileage as well i get about 6 but we toad a jeep (4500lbs) behind us
