Locked inside door Handel broke

Wife and I got locked inside our 378 XL the other day and took 2hrs once a locksmith arrived. Wife climbed out the emergency window in back and she still could not open the door from the outside. No it was not locked. Lol.. Had to drill the door handle out to get to the slider and once we saw it the locksmith was able to get a hold of it and opened the door. Something internal broke and that was the only way to get it opened. Everyone can feel safe because these things can not be broken into easy. Locksmith was outside drilling and I was inside drilling. He said he has never seen anything like this before. Lucky I had Goodsams Roadside Assistance which covered the locksmith. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this or am I that 1 in a million. I was able to find a replacement which was a good thing. I even called a local RV dealer and explained what was going on and told them I could drive it there and they said it would be a couple days before they could get to me. REALLY!!!!!!!

I am not sure if it is related in your case.

Fastec had/has a recall on the tumblers in their door locks which caused some people to become locked inside.

Just read the recall flyer and my key was not on the list. May try to contact Forrest River.

As long as you are not in an emergency situation. Here is how I unlocked a RV door from the inside. Sorry, the pics uploaded in the wrong order. Make sure to follow the step #'s in the correct order.
