Looking for info on Side Shade anchors....

We have a Georgetown 360.

One of the annoying items while traveling are the driver and passenger pull down sun shades.

They "clatter" back and forth hitting the window frame, and at times will rollup by themselves.

Is anyone aware of a "fix" to adjust / anchor these shades in place at a desired height?

We would like to be able to adjust them to different heights while driving during the day to provide as much protection for the sun and heat as possible.

Our dealer gave me the name of the manufacture and told me to contact them for a "kit".

However the manufacture they named told me they did not have the current contract to supply the side shades to Forest River.

Does anyone know who does supply these pull down shades?

(I looked on the back side of the shades and there were no identifying marks.)

Ours stay in place. Maybe the mechanism on yours is wore out. You could use some of those window shades they sell for the kids.

Our Georgetown 360 is only 8 months old... so worn out, (hope not)!

But you don't know. I've had a LOT of items repaired under warranty in the last 8 months....

The shade mechanism seem tight, but with all the flapping back and forth, they will rollup.

More annoying is the constant banging on the window frame as we drive.

I'm going check Home Depot and see if they have anything for pull down shades that I might be able to "cobble" to fit an RV. Or, the old fashion way, (design and make something my self).

Well I fixed the side shade issue. Just spent a few quiet moments staring at the window and shade with a glass of Scotch...
Velcro! - 2 small pieces anchored to the back side of the shade at the bottom, and 3 pieces mounted on the window frame at various heights.
I can adjust these later, add more, or remove them as I need.

Pull the shade down, press the Velcro together, no noise, no flapping, stays in place.

A quick fix.... yes!

But in the long run expensive!!

My wife decided she wanted to have a see thru shade that would block the sun, but not her view.

So we ordered MCD's American Duo™ Day/Night Shade for each side. For my size windows, about $700 installed. It takes 3 weeks from date of order.

I think they will be a good addition.

Still gonna have to add Velcro to keep them from flapping I think...

We have a 2010 373 and we just purchased shades from Blind Chalet for the front and both sides. They were double shades with daytime shades, you can see out but no one can see in, and privacy shades for night time. $620.00. Great service and very easy to install.
