Magnadyne M4 Radio Wallpaper Question

I have tried to change the wallpaper to a jpeg image on an SD card placing the card in the read sd card slot but the radio doesn't seem to recognize it. I tried it in the front slot too. I am thinking it may want an image with a different format like a tiff.....bmp....

Does anyone know what type of wallpaper format is needed?

2012 FR 378
Thanks

On page 8 of the owner manual it says...
" Wallpaper Setup (Background Image):
1. Press the
button to reveal more setup features.
2. Select the Wallpaper icon to enter the wallpa-
per selection interface.
3. Either select a file pre-stored in the system or
select Scan SD and select an image from the
rear SD GPS Card holder.
4. Touch
to save the image and the unit will
automatically return to the main interface.
Note: Please use 800dpi*400dpi & 24-bit/channel
BMP format file as Wallpaper if desired."

Here is where I found the manual

Smile Thanks for the info but there is a typo

Hi,
I converted the file to a .bmp with 24 bit 800 x 400 and the radio recognized the SD and file.

Problem is that the radio rejected the the file and wants an 800 x 480 24 bit .bmp.

So the manual is almost right but has a typo.

I think it will work when I figure out how to convert the file to required format.

Thanks for your help, Best Regards,
John

I bet that is the correct dpi 800x480 and it is a typo in the manual.
Good luck
