Mayday: slide won't extend or retract!

So...we are supposed to leave for a wedding 8 hours from now, and ....the front slide on our GT 351 won't extend or retract. We started to extend it to finish packing at home and it went out about 10 inches before making a terrible grinding noise. Now it won't come in, or go out.

It looks like one the cables is *between* the pulleys instead of seated IN the pulley, so I'm guessing that's the issue. But....I have no idea how to get the slide in manually (Coach Net offered to send a tech out tomorrow, but by then we'll be way late on our departure).

Anyone have a clue how to get the slide in so we can travel?

Update - well 12 hrs later we are waiting on the dealer that Coach Net located to let us know if they can address the slide today. Disheartening to have a major slide issue on our brand new coach, causing us to miss a wedding and risk missing a business meeting early next week.

One good thing...I'll now be able to report back on my first-hand experiences with warranty work, so stay tuned.

Serenity now......

Very sorry to read about your slide.

The only good thing is that you should be looking at day(s) to repair instead of week(S) if it was at the dealer.

Update on this from the road - we took the coach to Dick Gore's RV World in Jacksonville, FL; So far the folks at Dick Gore's have been fantastic. They had to order a replacement front slide motor / gear mechanism from FR and we are waiting to it to arrive on Monday to hopefully get us back on the road. FR has been very responsive to the time sensitive nature of this repair so far, and I'll let everyone know how it goes after the part comes in.
