Me again......High pitched whistle front, 315 SE

We are on our 8th week of our trip, and a high pitched whistle started just recently. It seems to be located on the front drivers side. We have checked windows being shut, and all other obvious things. This happened in our old rig, primarily because the windshield replacement was botched. We fixed that one. However, this is quite the mystery. We caulked some areas around the drivers side window, and DH found some areas under the hood that might be the cause, but I am frustrated because it did not show up until recently. It was such a pain locating this in our last rig, and I am loathe to go through this again. Has this happened to anyone else?

What kind of a truck is it? I had a 2000 Silverado that had it and I finally chased it down to the gap between the windshield gasket and the pillar at the front of the door opening. Put a pc of electrical tape from the bottom of the post up to the top covering the gap. Did this on the passengers side also and the noise was gone. Lasts about 2 yrs and then you have to replace the tape. It is not noticeable.

I have not thought about the mirror. Can that happen with the outside mirrors? Interesting. I will take a peak tomorrow.

There is evidence that the previous owner caulked the middle piece splitting the windshield, on the inside, but I guess he did not find it. Or maybe he did, and it has now failed.

Ah, the joys of RV ownership
