Headed to Lake Isabella, Kern County, Calif., on Thursday afternoon, and stay until Monday morning.

Gonna check the water level and pull the boat out of storage up there. Will bring the boat home if the water's too low, but keep it up there if it's high enough.

Dry camping on the lake, $8.00 a night with Senior Pass! Will probably put about 30 hours on the genny while up there.

Farewell Bend State Park, Baker County, Oregon

We will be spending this holiday week(end) at Farewell Bend State Park with our two grown sons and our two spunky dogs! We have reserved a great full hookup spot and will be parked there for four days. It was a miracle that both the boys could arrange time off from their jobs AND that college finals ended this week...just in time!

We have a ginormous Chesapeake Bay Retriever and a little Pit Bull / Heeler mix. This will be their FIRST camping adventure, as we were not able to take them (fit them) into the old camper.

Please keep us in your prayers!!

Have not heard of Tippecanoe state park in IN, but we live in Tipp City, OH, and my kids go to Tippecanoe High School. As for plans, we usually stay home on Memorial day, we consider this "amatuer weekend". Although, the boat ramps are wonderful for a full day's amusement!

Avid fan of the Outlaws. Saw Joey's dad set the non-wing record @ Knoxville in 1970 to 20.37. If you've never been to the Knoxville Nationals, you need to go. It's not an event, it is a happening. The whole town gets behind it for the whole week. Went 17 yrs in a row and to the 50th anniversary in 08 when it paid $150,000 for a 50 lap 25mile race. Have chased the Outlaws from California to FL and most points in between. Oldest son traveled with Rick Ferkel in 81.
