Headed to Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. We're very excited to have our youngest daughter (she's almost 21!) going camping with us for the first time. Keeping our fingers crossed that she likes it enough to go with us again.

Since we're both retired and our children are all grown and out of the home, we don't use the RV on national holidays. We just got back from a 14-day trip down the Oregon coast, from Astoria to Brookings, then to Crescent City, across the coast range on highway 199 to Grants Pass, then a leisurely run back home.

Unfortunately, the weather on the coast wasn't very nice - misty mornings with no sunshine until mid-afternoon and quite cold overnight. When we tried to go south of Crescent City to the Redwoods, we got into fog so thick, it reminded me of back in the UK. Our defintions back then were that thick fog meant you couldn't see the front of a Mini from the back, dense fog meant you couln't see the end of a Mini's hood from the driving seat. Many times, I drove my old Austin Seven the 23 miles home from college following one of my car-pooling friends who was walking along, shining a flashlight back at me.

We gave up on the Redwoods and headed back to Crescent City and then onto 199. We found some very good CGs and some marginal ones. I'll post our reeviews in the appropriate place.

We are on our way to Bryce Canyon. There is a full moon over the weekend. Hopefully will get some great shots in the canyon.

Have seen several Georgetowns already on this trip.

We're headed to Cuttys Hayden Creek campground in Coaldale, CO for the long weekend. One of our favorite places for sure!

You know I'll be posting pics!

We got the last lot available for the weekend, so it's actually handicap accessible. A concrete pad, which I have to be honest will be nice.

Here's where turbs and fam are going.
The outback canoe rental and camp ground.
Limited secluded spots with a timber back drop and the maquoketa river near by.
Were camping with friends and family on the lower right sites.
We booked them all!
