MPG

Quick question. What is your average gpm without towing, planning a trip and trying to figure gas out, I usually tow, and we are not this time so I don't really have good numbers

Thanks

Matt

.....I have a lighter coach than most in a 280DS though it has the same engine though slightly less capacity in fresh water and over all weight but I get 12 miles to a gallon at best without my toad and 8 to 9 miles with it.

Plan on running your generator too? Lot of highway or stop and go? Lots of variables but for the v10 gas on 351DS ford chassis we range from 6-8 mpg with no tow- that is miles per gallon.

Matt what model and feet is your Georgetown? Is it new?
Many factors but with or without toad the mpg isn't that big of a difference.
I would estimate 7 mpg on your trip for a general number for your trip.

I've tracked mine very closely since I bought it in the fall. I've put 2000 miles on it, ran the generator for approximately 25 hours and drive 60 - 65MPH with no toad. In that time my overall average has been 7.4 MPG in my 351DS.

60 MPH - 8MPG
65 MPH - 7MPG
70 MPH - 6MPG
It won't go over 75, there's a speed limiter

On my 2014 351 I usually get between 6.2 to 7.4 mpg. I am usually running between 63 and 68 mph. More often in the 6.2 to 6.8 range if not doing a long interstate run. No tow vehicle.

I also have the 2014 351DS and when I actually kept track was getting similar mpg, closer to the higher end of this range when not towing, lower end when towing, similar cruising speeds.

The GPM (gallons per mile) in the subject line is a bit scary for someone considering buying a Georgetown.

I will change that to MPG.

Just got back form a 5 week trip through the U.S. Put on 4,605 miles towing, we have a 2014 377xl towing 4,900 lbs.
Miles per gallon 6.98
Miles per gallon imperial 7.98
Cruise control on and tow haul mode on 75% of the time.

That's pretty much what I see. Glad that I am in good company. I feel the same about not worrying about it, just enjoy the trip.
