The fan was blowing the compressor was running and no cold air. I have a new top0 unit ordered because we think the fluid has escaped thru a leak somewhere. Dometic advised of a brisk air II top unit to replace my duo Therm top unit. I also took the advice of another chap on this forum that replaced his top unit and gave me a part # as well. I am OK with what folks are telling me and happy with the results and action I am taking to fix the problem. My new one is a lot cheaper than going to a RV dealer and there catalogue price of over $1200. Amazon is the place.

Year one had several freeze ups and little air volume in bedroom. Year two had minimal cooling and several freeze ups. By this past July minimal air flow to bedroom and minimal cooling, then compressor would not run at all. The whole history was indicative of gradual loss of refrigerant. Just happy that the unit was replaced at no cost to us.

Thanks for clearing it up and good luck. Just out of curiosity, is it possible to upgrade the ac to ac with heater unit? I hate to use propane or space heaters if I had that option.

My roof acs have heat strips but I have never liked that feature. They take forever to get just like warm and make too much noise. I run my furnace just a little while to raise temp to a comfortable level and then use a small ceramic electric heater go maintain. But then I don't camp in true winter conditions. But the electric heater does very well when the nights are in the high 30s. And using park electric means I use very little propane.
