Mystery Plastic Bit

While going through my new-to-me motorhome I discovered this little plastic bit. So far I haven't figured out what it's for. It's got "Dometic" embossed on it.

Anyone know what this little thing is for?

Picture attached.

I got two of those...I think I read somewhere that they are for propping the freezer and frig doors open when the unit is in storage. I messed around with them for a good while though and couldn't figure out how they might be clipped on to anything on the doors or shelves...if that is indeed their purpose. Easier to just pull the empty shelves out part way like I've always done.

My two are clipped to the fridge doors as we speak.
I will photograph how they go.

While a photo is worth a million words...

The "tongue" part slips over the brown push release of the door. If done right the push release will be surrounded by the blue tab and the blue tab won't be able to "fall off".

When you close the door almost shut, the thicker (edged) part of the tab will catch on the receiver part of the push release inside the fridge.

This will hold the door "almost shut" without it coming loose.

Yikes, I re-read this and I need to get a photo to ya.

Lou explained it perfectly but a picture really helps in this situation.

Quite simply they're to prop the fridge doors partially open when it's off so it can dry out and not build up odors.

Thanks for the pic...you wouldn't believe how long I messed around trying to figure those clips out before I gave up.
