We wish! We did the August race last year....stayed at "Up The Creek" RV park just outside Pigeon Forge and drove down and back up after the race....just a 1.5 hour drive each way.

How long of a walk is it from camp to the track? I'm not able to walk far.

Well, you can expect it to be LOUD! It's a short track, thus forming a tight "bowl" effect with the seating.

MUCH MUCH louder than, say, Texas Motor Speedway. And because it's a short track, there are no bad seats, IMO. Everything is up close and personal.

Unless you are camping close to the track, wear comfortable shoes! You're in for quite a walk. There are people that bring in their quads and make money running taxi services. They charge a LOT though....something like $15.00 per person. After the race their prices go down for trips back to your vehicle. LOL, they've made a ton already are willing to negotiate.

As I said on another NASCAR thread, we were very impressed with how the local LEOs handle the traffic after the race. It's 4 lanes going in, two way. After the race they turn all four lanes in to one way...out. After we got back to our truck, we were on the interstate in about 30 minutes.

Oh, and you ARE allowed to bring in adult beverages. We didn't, but were surprised that the vendors didn't have a restriction on BYOBing into the stands. Heck, you are allowed to bring in your own sodas. Just pack up the small cooler and haul it in.

There's no place like Bristol. As Weezer said, it's LOUD. I never run my scanner volume much over half volume at other tracks. But at Bristol, I run it wide open. You better have ear protection for sure...and not just the little foam plugs. But, you will have the time of your life. It is a real experience for sure. Enjoy!!

There are shuttle buses available but long waiting lines, and IIRC there are shuttle buses specifically for the disabled.

And I specifically remember parking right at the front gate/main entry to the stands for the disabled....tons of them, tailgating and having a blast.

KOA offers a shuttle back and forth to the track. Everyone that had been there says it's a great time.

It is about a half mile walk. That is from both places because they are across from each other on 94.
