Need quick help please

This part is very very hot. we are on shore power and not running the propane. Is this normal? We are preparing to leave and happened to touch this

Yes, it will always be hot as long as you have 12 volts available. From what I understand it is a safety valve that needs to be energized by the 12V to allow the gas to flow. Shuts down the gas if 12 volt power is lost. That means it is always "on" or held open when power is applied and it does get hot. It's normal operation.

Yes its most importantly operated by the co/propane detector to help avoid serious problems. I measured it with infra thermo, its hot but not dangerous.

Ahhh, thank you so much! All of these things I will learn. Planning in reading alot over the next few days and getting my binders in order so I can find things quickly!

When you park your motorhome for storage make sure you turn off the master coach battery switch so you turn off power to this.
With no power it will shut off and not be on all the time.
