Need Some Input

We are full time. Have a GT 378. We are in an RV Resort here in Florida for the next year. MH is on a concrete pad.

I made some wood blocks while back from 1x12, 2 nailed together for a 3" lift. One of my front blocks has split causing me to dip to the left some. Being we are on concrete i was just going to remove the blocks and go straight to the concrete.

Do you think its ok to leave all 3 slides out while get the jacks up then back down OR should i pull the slides in?

IMO, The Slides will be fine in the out position while you make the adjustment.
Especially, since bringing them in now would mean they would be pulled in while the coach is "tweeked" a bit form the block breaking.

Not sure you can start engine with slides out. According to my manual, engine needs to be running to operate jacks!

Don't understand the use of the blocks but yes, the engine will start with the slides out. Bringing the slides in (if only partially) is certainly not a big deal and only takes a few seconds. I occasionally have to extend the levelers after a few days at some camp sites but have never retracted them with the slides out. However; shouldn't be a problem for the system. I have a GT378 also.

You can start the coach with the slides out, but once the engine starts I don't think you can bring the slides in.

That is correct once the engine is started the slides will not come in. I let my jacks retract all the time with the slides out when I break camp with no problem. Hope that helps.

Retracting my jacks is the last thing I do when breaking camp.

Thanks everyone

I start my engine 2x a month with the slides out, the steps do come up so i have to remove the step jacks b4 starting. I used the wood pads when we were volunteering at FL state parks where the ground was not level at times, just thought i would use them here but one split.

Good day to take the wood blocks out. Will let y'all know how it goes.

Again

Usually the owners manual will tell you what sequence to do things.. Our manual said to put jacks down then run out slides after level.. Then bring slides in and put up jacks.. See what your owners manual says.. Plus we also do all of our hook up before we do anything.. It is so much easier to to not crawl under the slide to make your connections
