The charge wizard is great, it will maximize the value of generator time. HOWEVER, it will not equalize since the "boost" voltage is only 14.5. Great for charging, too low for equalizing.

Yes, or you can manually do it.

Yes. The Charge Wizard automatically switches modes. The Charge Wizard is an optional external pendant on the 9100 series converters, and is included (built in) to the 9200 series converters. More detail here: Charge Wizard RV Battery Charging

That is correct. However, on the 9200 series you cannot tell what mode the unit is in or manually override it (like forcing it to boost when boondocking and running the generator) without the $12 accessory pendant. The converter is doing it's thing anyway and switching modes without the pendant.
