Need to replace screen door latch -- Plastic cracked

Hello,

We have a 2011 Georgetown DS XL 33' motor home. The plastic "black" screen door latch has cracked at both the upper and lower areas of the latch. Have you encountered this problem?

If yes, where did you find a "replacement latch" mechanism for the screen door? We would appreciate your help with resolving this problem.

Hope you had a safe, enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.

I had the same thing happen just a few weeks ago.
I found replacements at Camping World but I decided not to buy the plastic one but the black metal one.
Made by RVdesigner.com for replacement of the Trimark Latch
Screen Door Latch
Part Number T525
Here is a link to the one I got with the up shaped handle.

Here is the link to Camping World page.
Metal Screen Door Latch - RV Designer T525 - Entry Door Hardware - Camping World

It is a little more in $$ but the metal parts will last much longer.

Good luck.

Thanks Iggy for the quick response. Just to make sure that I described the situation correctly, when I am standing at the RV entry door (passenger side), the screen door handle and door frame plate are on the "left-side" of the door frame. The screen door handle points to the "right side" of the screen door.

This is what the replacement hardware from RV Designer describes as "Screen Door Latch, Right-Hand (TriMark 22974-01).

Did I state this correctly?

Thanks,

Rick Lillie

Yes. Mine is also on the left looking at it from the outside.
Make sure you pick up the correct one because they also make one that is for the right side.
