The specific gravity for your batteries would be available from the manufacturer but should be in the range of 1250 to 1275.
Kind regards,

Good tip, I will do that.

I choose this one because of the low profile and because we use them at work for our electric forklifts.

I just wonder what is the difference of price from Flowrite and how you fill the system. No Bulb that I seen on the Product Site.

I prefer the 3 cell manifold design of the Quik-Fill for standard batteries. Less interconnects reduce failure points and make for a quicker install.

It's also WAY less expensive. A 12 cell kit for 12v batteries is $50 at RVUpgrades. I only found pricing on the Philadelphia system at one place. At $120 it's more than double.

No need to over think this for RV applications.

Thank you. Not trying to over think. Just trying to figure out what I need to do. I get my 2016 Georgetown 328 back next week after they finished some warrantee items and replaced the Steps. I didn't make sure the Door was closed and locked. You can guess what happened being next to a curb. Plus they found a broken wire that allowed the Microwave and outlets above the Kitchen Sink to work. You know new Motorhome, you always have something.

Which RVSuperstore?

At Amazon around $136.00 don't know if this is the same as yours.

dphroton,

Sorry didn't mean to offend. I was trying to point out to the other poster that I did not see any added benefit for more than double the price.

Check out my review article. The link to the Qwik-Fill at RVUpgrades is in the 'How much does it cost' section. They offer free shipping for all orders over $100.00

Cheers!

No offense taken. I was just trying to figure out the cost also and I think your right. The price is double by what I found for the Philadelphia Scientific vs. Qwik-Fill. Thanks for your patience. I know what I am buying now.

no offense

Does water remain in the tubes when not actually filling the batteries? In other words, do they need to be removed in the winter?

Yes the water remains in the tubes but you can flush them by blowing air on the last fill of the season.

Secondly, the tubes are small and flexible so they probably could deal with freezing very well. Here is what he instructions say:

For general winterizing, drain excess water in water supply line by pushing the spring loaded button on the end of the line. To remove the clear tubing (if necessary), pinch the tubing next to fitting, carefully twist and pull straight off.

Come to think of it, water came out of the overflow holes in the manifold when the valves closed to prevent over filling. I wonder if blowing air will push the water out the same way. I will try it this weekend and update.
