New Furniture

I can’t seem to find the previous post where someone purchased new furniture from RecPro. I want to thank them for their post. We checked out their website, ordered free sample materials and then a new couch with recliners to replace the couch and euro chair in our 378. The price is much better than Camping World and after looking at the CW furniture a better quality plus the shipping is free and quick.
Thanks again.

JimF, Did you already order and install a replacement for your 378? I was looking at replacing my two seater 68” couch with their two seater with middle console theatre unit but reading their specs it would not properly fit in my 378. The description indicates must have minimum of 36” depth from back wall to front edge of slide for frame to sit on base of slide and unit to recline. My 2013 378 measures around 34 1/4”. I did not order as did not want to have to move couch away from wall after slide extended in order to be able to recline. Also if did this would not be able to secure seating to floor. I’ve thought about the possibility of adding a four inch metal plate to front edge of slide allowing two inches to extend out from plywood under carpet of slide and the other two inches sit on top of the slide so it could be drilled and attached to plywood floor of slide to secure the extension. This extention would be hidden by the carpet on front edge of slide. When you get yours installed please advise which unit you order and how it fits. Some pics of how it sits on bottom would be appreciated.

We ordered the 94” Couch with double recliner. Do away with our couch and euro chair. Looking at your comments I don’t know where you got your dimensions but the frame is only 21 3/8 deep and needs to be 10 1/4 from the back wall, that is 31 5/8 Total. The following is the specs copied from RecPro.

Frame: 16-15/16"W x 21-3/8"D (for each recliner) 39-1/2"W (recliners together)
From wall: 3"
1st recline position - 53"D
2nd recline position (all the way down) - 62-1/2"D
Base space from wall needed: 10-1/4"
Seat only (single recliner) 21-1/2"D x 21-1/2"W
Seat only (double recliner) 21-1/2"D x 42-1/2"W
36" Console:
Hard size (no cushioning) - 35-1/2"W x 36"D
Frame - 34"W x 21"D
Seat - 36"W x 20-1/4"D
Dropdown - 34-1/2"W x 20-1/2"D
Cupholder - 3-1/2 diameter
Base depth - 28-1/2"D
Dropdown height from floor - 27-1/2"H
Dropdown thickness - 8-1/2"H

New Furniture

Thanks for reply. I got my specs from rec pro page on two seater sku mod-67 upc 606345293208 price 879.95. The following copied from their description: (note min depth required to fit on slide-out)
Hard size (without any cushion) - 63-3/4"W x 36"D x 39"H
Soft size (with cushions) - 66"W x 36"D x 39"H
Frame - 49"W x 21-3/8"D
Frame: 16-15/16"W x 21-3/8"D (for each recliner) 39-1/2"W (recliners together)
Minimum depth required to fit on slide out is 36-1/4" with front of recliner overhanging the slideout
Minimum depth required to fit on slide out without overhang is 39-1/4"
From wall: 3"
1st recline position - 53"D
2nd recline position (all the way down) - 62-1/2"D
Base space from wall needed: 10-1/4"
Seat only (single recliner) 21-1/2"D x 21-1/2"W
Seat only (double recliner) 21-1/2"D x 42-1/2"W
Foot rest to floor (when fully recline) 17

Do you already have yours installed? If not would you please let me know if it fits on slide properly positioned so it can recline without moving out from wall once you have yours installed. If it fits, I may go with the 96” and remove the chair also.

I “think” what they are meaning by depth of 36 1/4 and 39 1/4 is how much it sticks out of the slide, the frame you will note is 21 3/8 deep. That’s the part you would fasten to the floor. I will post pictures when I get them installed. Supposed to receive the couch on this Friday, plan to install immediately. Have already removed my factory stuff. As an afterthought, the factory furniture is very shallow and them new stuff appears it will be normal furniture depth, at least I hope so.

Anybody do this retro for a Georgetown 377. I’m suffering from the usual couch/recliner material failure.

I'm sure it can be done but you have to decide on where you would place it. They come in diifernt setups.
Double Recliner with center divider (9") 67"
Double Recliner with center divider (12") 70"
Double Recliner without center divider 58"

Also you get a code for 5% off if you signup for newsletter or setup an account
I think my code was SIGNUP5

I hope we are correct on it fitting. We went with the 94”, double recliner with a 36” center seat section. The back on the center folds down and has drink holders in the back. In this configuration I can recline and the wife can lay down on the rest of the couch, we think.Click image for larger version

Just musings, wonder how hard it would be to replace the reclining mechanism out of the couch and replace with with a power recliner mechanism. I have the power mechanism.

Im still anxiously awaiting your results on will it fit properly on the 378 slide and allow full reclining without moving away from wall. I hope it does but After looking at specs I think it may require an extension plate added to front of slide to fit a 2013 378.

OK just got everything unpacked.
FYI they are made in China.

Here is what mine looks like out of the boxes.
I figure they want to breath fresh air a bit before I install later this afternoon.

Color is Putty grayish even though some pictures it looks like more redish.

Okay, put in the recliner and there is a small problem, the recliner frame has 4 feet on each side and to clear the window valance the chair has to sit out and additional 3 inches, that’s over the 10 1/2 inches in the specs for the chair. The additional 3 inches has the front foot past the edge of the slide about 1/4 inch. It does not appear to be a problem as there are 3 other feet per side that the frame sits on. Modify the valance bottom ( shorten it up about 1 1/2 inches and you can move the chair back and the front foot would be on the slide floor past the slide front edge taper.

I tried the chair as is and don’t see a problem. The chairs, by the way, are very comfortable and a huge improvement.

See the frame at the floor in the picture below. What you can’t see is the feet on the frame. The frame rail is behind and below frame brace in the picture. The brace that is visible is for attaching the next chair or console.Click image for larger version

Is the new unit going to cover up the front furnace vents on side of your cabinet? My 13 378 has 2 round front furnace vents on bottom of the cabinet?

No it doesn’t on ours if not reclined, reclined your legs would get really hot. Not a concern to us, we do camp in cold weather but never turn the front furnace on, the fireplace and a small supplemental heater keeps us cozy down to about 15 degrees or so. Saves propane.

So with slide in if you leave front foot hanging over edge of slide would it still be stable if passanger sit on couch or could you sit on couch if you were for example stopped at a rest area over night and could not extend slides? Also with the couch out to clear valance does it look good or would it look better shortening the valance and moving back?

Thanks Jim on the information on the valance.
I have it removed and looked it over to shorten.
Any tips?
You say 1 1/2" so if we go 2" would be ok also?
