New Georgetown Owner

Just got home, took notes and guess what? I still can't figure out everything. Can anyone please tell me the steps i need to take to turn on the AC? I turned on the generator, set the thermostat to auto, set temp and no action. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Please respond as if your talking to a 3rd grader...Step 1, step 2, step 3...

also, i have a Georgetown 351 DS

Do you have a hard wired surge protector? If you do then it can take about 2 minutes before power is allowed to flow from your generator to the house depending on the model.

Do you have to plug your power cord into a outlet in the generator compartment? Did the microwave have power? Did you check the circuit breaker?

As others have said make sure you have AC power.
If your thermostat is set to auto the AC will not come on unless the temperature is set colder than the room temp.
Try setting the temperature colder using the arrow down button while the setting is on AC
Or set change the fan setting to hi or low
Press the selector button once to select the fan mode
Press the up or down arrow to select between hi low or Au
Press the select button once more to select AC.
The fan should run even if the AC compressor is not on.
It may take a few second for the fan to come on. That is normal
If you have AC power and the fan still does not come on check the breaker for the AC. The breaker box is under the bed facing you as you walk in the bedroom.
I had my breaker trip the first time I used the AC but haven't had any problems since

1. Start generator
...Did it start?
...Did the microwave clock come on?

If yes to step 1

2. Check thermostat
...AC light on
...Temperature set lower than room temp

If yes to step 2

3. Check breakers
...1 or 2 should be marked in the breaker panel inside your 351
...There will also be breakers on the generator

4. Contact your dealer

Chris, the 30 amp on/off switches on the generator were turned to off. I am glad it was something simple. Thanks for all the suggestions and quick replies.
