New Toad

Picked up a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee love it so far. It goes in next week for tow plate to be installed. Any feedback on this vehicle would be appreciated. We had a Honda Fit but wanted to get to a one car family and the Fit was to small.

Rvlove.....

You might get better response posting your toad question in the proper forum.

Toads are not exclusive to Georgetown units.

Congratulations on the new toad!

We tow a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with our Sunseeker and are very happy with it as a toad. Make sure to read the owner's manual for your vehicle about flat towing and follow the directions exactly.

Hope you have many great adventures with your new toad!

We weighed ours at a CAT scale and it was 4900 lbs. with a full tank of gas and the tow bar, so we try to not fill up to close to towing to keep the weight down. We don't carry anything in the jeep so no added weight.

Just fyi not all grand Cherokees are towable 4 down. You have to be able to put the drive train into neutral or you will do some serious damage to your jeep!

We have a Sunseeker and it has not had any trouble pulling the jeep. Even through the mountains of West Virginia. Will be taking it out west this spring. We will see, but I don't anticipate any issues. We have towed with a tow dolly pulling wife's toyota Avalon cross country without any problems, Just find pulling 4 down to be simplier.

Good luck with getting your set up!
