No shore power

I was recently bombarded with electrical problems with my 2008 Forest River Georgetown. Here is a list of nightmares in the order that they happened:

1. I was at and event that didn't have shore power so I ran the generator. After approximately 6 hours I lost power in the rv, eventhough the generator was still running strong.
2. The batteries were drained so I had to charge them by letting the engine run for awhile so I could get the slides to retract.
3. With the batteries charged I was able to retract the slides but when I put the vehicle in drive, the bedroom slide would pop out! I had to remove the fuse in the hydrolic motor to prevent that so I could, drive home.
When I got home the shore power was plugged in but only a few things worked such as the entertainment system and microwave. The battery charging system, air conditioner, furnace and fridge were not getting power. And now the generator is producing power again! Can anybody please help me?!!
