Really not too bad actually once the tec told me how it comes out. Six screws to take the shade down after disconnecting the three power wires, then remove the end cap from the frame and the motor slides out.
My main reason for posting, which I forgot to mention, is that United Shade knows this is an issue and the technician said receives 4 to 5 calls a week sometimes for this problem. The design is being modified to prevent the shade from rubbing the wires when it rolls up and down. So it appears I'm not the only one with this problem. Thought I might give others something to watch out for.
