Super nice day here in Columbus even though a bit windy. Went out and installed the vent cover for the Fan-tastic fan. I also managed to install one of the Hellwig links for the front CHF. Cramped up so I will do the other side and rear tomorrow. Oh, and I also installed the CB, but still waiting on the antenna. 7 more days and we are heading for FL.

I also installed both vent covers (bathroom n Fan-tastic fan) today...I did the CHF for both two days ago and today drove it 6 miles to Costco for $100 of fine-quality gas (sure)....but I was more interested on the results of the CHF which proved to be very positive....quite noticeable and besides the muscle cramping I'm happy got those 4 things done!
BTW- 75 degrees in Cali....(okay, I'm ducking....)

I also installed a Fan-tastic vent cover. Did you install yours over the existing lap seal? I removed the seal just around the area where the brackets go, resealed that and put the cover on top of that. I watched the install video and there was no lap seal present, which means they would install the cover and then lap seal the entire thing. It doesn't make sense that way because the cover is secured by four cotter pins for quick removal.

Alparmmer,
No, I didn't remove the sealant, I didn't want to mess with it since it was so windy here. It felt solid after I did the side brackets so didn't think it would need the center on the roof....(don't get me back up there now and make me do the center screws...LOL)

I agree on the video shows the center drilling on the bare baseplate with no sealant - Kinnda silly but I guess it tries to give you the idea.

I know what you mean. While I was up there it felt like I was on a small boat in the middle of the ocean. We had 40 mph gusts, but I had to get it done since we leave for FL on Friday.

Yeah mother nature is cruel....
Yesterday was 70 and partly sunny - SWEET get the yard work done then putter on the 5er....well the yard got away from us - no worries I have Sunday!

Woke up at 2:30 this morning with a WTF is that NOISE? Well that noise Mr. Bob is what a very hard thunderstorm sounds like....*Grumble*

Got up today, no more rain but OMG the temps are back in the low 40s (yeah yeah I know Ohio & Above, you feel my pain )

OK so told the DW I was going to do some RV interior work.

GOOD NEWS!
  1. The WIFI booster I installed works and the Apple TV receives the signal really well (can't wait for the Roku HDMI dongle to arrive next week!)
  2. Towel rack was a easy install
  3. As was the screen door brace and lower frame
  4. Ohhhhhhhh golf is on the TV
  5. And....and...the beer I stashed in the RV basement is nice and cold

Sitting on the couch with my 2nd cold one watching golf and posting from my MacBook Pro!

Life is good

Oh yeah, life is good! I was actually sweating here in FL. It's been overcast with a bit of rain here and there, but I'll take it. I can tell things are blooming, especially the orange blossoms...man, do they smell good!

We got a dusting again this morning. It seems winter is fighting hard to stay this year.

Getting another six inches as I type in Cape May, NJ which is as far south in Jersey as you can go. Really rare for us to get snow this time of year, let alone half a foot. I can't wait for camping season to start.
