Oil changes
Where do you take your RV for its oil change? The nearest Ford dealer that can service anything my size is 40 miles away. Do you go to a big truck repair shop?

Any auto repair shop should be able to do it but some won't. I take mine the same place I take my car.

Doin my own oil changes does not alter any warranty.... I worked at 2 dealers for 23 years, I know the game! Save your receipts for oil and filter purchases and document oil change intervals, keep all maintenance records!

LOL. I've been doing my own oil changes for as longs as I can remember on new cars, motorcycles, etc. It's never voided a warranty. Now, if you are silly enough to leave the oil filter's gasket attached to the engine and install a new one on top of that....You will be paying for that one.
One of the best things I bought for my coach was a Fumoto valve. Flip it open, let it drain, close it and refill. For the filter, get it loose, put a Ziploc bag around it and remove it.

I did my last oil change since large truck ford service center is 20 miles away. For those doing your own oil change, do you lube chassis also?

Yes. Will also be flushing the brake fluid at the two year mark. Apparently, some folk have had their lines leak and the warranty is voided if you can't show proof that the fluid was changed.

I do my own oil changes. You can buy the Ford filter and oil at Wal-Mart for about $30. A Fumoto valve (part # F-106N) is a huge help for changing the oil, as the drain is over the axle. The "N" version Fumoto valve has a nipple to attach a tube so the oil drains right into a bottle without spilling a drop. The Fumoto valves are available at Amazon.
A short flexible grease gun hose was necessary to access some of the grease fittings on the front axle. Turning the steering as far as possible to each side was also helpful. Autozone sells the Valvoline grease with molybdenum that meets Ford specifications.
I had Gator Ford in Tampa do the brake flush and refill. They are located next to Lazy Days RV, and probably service more Ford RV chassis than any other dealer. They had the proper machine to do the job. Cost was $150.

Don't forget there are nine (9) zerks. Don't forget the one on the steering box, there is a little rubber cap on it.

Local Ford dealer does mine, including lube, for around $42. Doesn't seem worth it to do my own.

Might question what your getting for $42.00, are they using Motorcraft oil filter and oil ? Where I used to work- Ford dealer - they used valvoline filters and oil in the lube lane!
Plus for me, I know exactly what's been done and know that oil actually made it into the engine after an oil change! ( have seen it happen, tech forgets to put oil in vehicle and starts it up and attempts to move it out! Then it dies.... But I also understand that not everybody has the time, place or are able to do their own services.

I paid $52 for my last lube and oil change. Took it to the mechanic that does work on all my vehicles.

Should have been done already. Our RVs fall under the severe use category. Also for the price of an oil change it is cheap insurance . If you use synthetic is much better for the engine, all of our vehicles have sny fluids in the engine , trans and differential.

It is illegal to deny a warranty claim if you have done your own maintenance. But, you MUST keep a log, along with receipts showing purchase of the correct oils, etc. to thwart any mumbo jumbo a stealer would use to try and deny coverage. I loved the look on their faces when I rolled out the records, and then they had it in the shop for three weeks rebuilding the engine under WARRANTY.
