I have read on other forums where some have increased the power of their engines, diesel or gas, beyond the capabilities of the transmissions and rear ends. Don't know how true this is as I am not a mechanic but it does make some sense to me to keep in consideration when upgrading power.

With a turbo or supercharger it can cost several thousand , building power is not cheap , and on a engine with mileage on it it is not worth it to put major money in it . My opinion !

And when ever you add power to a engine you need to beef up the tranny so it can handle the extra power !
And one can easily spend A few thousand on the tranny !
