2016 Georgetown GT30x3 waterheater

Our water heater only operates off of LP gas. The salesman told us that the water heater was gas and electric but looking at it closer it only runs on gas. The place where we bought it posted a video to promote the Georgetown and states the water heater is both gas and electric. Does anyone else only have gas? Or does your water heater operate off of gas/electric.

Thanks,

Ours is gas and electric. In order to operate off electric, you have to flip a switch behind the outside panel. It should be in the lower left hand corner. It may have a lock out clip on it that you will have to remove.

Make sure if you turn on gas or electricity, there is water in the tank.

We had a trailer for 10 years with gas only, and it never was a problem. I normally use gas for hot water. Heats faster based on my experience.

Water heater

Thank you AquaMan!!, I found the switch inside the water heater, it was covered by a piece of white tape, the tape matched the paint color of the water heater so it was difficult to see it. It irritates me that during the "walk through" the employee told us we didn't have this option.

Make a note for yourself. When you winterize flip the switch and put the tape back. Turning on the electric element with the tank empty will kill the heater.

I noticed this topic got off on hot water heaters a little bit. I would like to hear how people are liking this new unit from FR. I am seriously considering trading in a Sunseeker 3010DS on one of these units. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
