outside Radio

Any one have a suggestion...i have this jensen outside radio that doesnt get any AM stations at all. I had a tech come look at all the wiring and even hes stumped as all wiring is correct. Yet no am channels at all. Its not like im in the boonies as Am radio is strong by me..I took a quick trip to RV place and went up to the exact same RV as mine with exact same radio and guess what? That one AM didnt work either///

many audio products view AM radio reception as not necessary... so there is no push to make it work well

all AM reception needs an antenna of some sort, even a dangling wire about a foot long will work if it is connected internally to the correct place

what is the Model Number of this unit? I can look online for a manual for it and look to see if this antenna should be there

I have the same radio in my 328TS and have no issues with either AM or FM.

I see your join date to the forum is June 2015. If the MH is under warranty I would have Forest River replace the unit.

We have that same thing. I plugged a USB extender cord into the back of ours. It plays whatever I have on a thumb drive, controllable with buttons on the radio. I haven't really tried the radio, doesn't seem to be a great piece of electronics.

How did you gain access to the back? Mine is in storage so I can't check right now. I didn't know it would play music off of a thumb drive...that would be great.

Thanks, I will look for that next time I go over to run the generator. We are going to the Florida Keys for two weeks this Fall...it would be nice to listen to a little Jimmy Buffett while sitting outside.
