Passenger side Laptop workstation

Has anyone bought/fabricated any type of Laptop workstation drawer/tray mounted to the dash where you can store your laptop and use it by pulling the tray or drawer toward the passenger seat, and then push it back when finished. The top might even have a writing table or be used as a "TV tray" for eating.

If anyone has, could you please post pics.

Thanks in advance,
Pete

This is what we used before getting a gps unit. We used Streets & Trips on the computer.

Spent a fortune on various mounts for the laptop and then for the iPad to get "flight following maps." Even bought a heavy metal one for police cruisers and Humvees, and found out it hurt the DW's knees; so out it came.

As the screen size got bigger, the newer GPS (like the one being reviewed now by Garmin) make the laptop obsolete.

Pete,

I posted pics awhile ago under mods. Even still I bought a set of drawer slides like used in the Georgetown. The desk slides are three segments and to those I mounted a fancy large cutting board with room for mouse and accessories. Attach slides with heavy wood screws with pilot holes, do not over tighten.

our Georgetown has a shelf that holds the laptop and is on top of the dash and will move by lifting at and move straight up and then over to the passage seat. I have a 2009 Georgetown 373ds. I will be at the ralley in aug.
