PCM Code Location 364ts

Made the plunge and ordered 5startuning. I'm having a terrible time trying to find the PCM code. I've looked at the pics on their website and on the interior firewall. Any help?

So tell us where you found it so others will know.

Also looking forward for your review of the 5 Star after you have time to drive and test it out.
Programming, performance, increased torque and HP.
Any mileage increase.

For those who are interested, the code was located under the hood on the top right of the firewall. I used my phone to take a picture so I could read the numbers easier - I was afraid I would get lodged under the hood .

I'll post my experience with 5startuning when I have had time to test it out. We live in the mountains of East Tennessee so we spend a lot of time in the Smokies.

I'm a newbie to the forum and it has been a tremendous learning source for me. Thanks.

If you search on Google for 5 star tuning you will get an idea about what it can do.
The short version is it changes the timing, fuel and some other stuff in the computer to gain more HP and torque at a better range then the standard Ford programming.

Cpaulsen,

You now have to fill out a Calibration Request Form after you make the purchase with the codes and other information. Glad you like yours - it is a decent investment but I suspect it will be well worth it in the driving experience.

Desperado13, we too live in East TN, Sevier County and purchased our 364ts in Feb. Just got back from almost 3 weeks in FL. How are you enjoying your 364ts? how does the 5 star tuning effect mileage? less but better performance? What other mod.s have you done?

SternHappens,

We just bought our 364TS in June so we haven't had much time for mods. Getting a front-end alignment on Friday. We are also new to the motorhome lifestyle and still learning a lot. (This forum is the bomb). I just ordered the 5startuning and haven't gotten it yet - I'll post a review ASAP. I'm mainly looking for better shifting through the mountains (although a little better fuel economy would always be nice).

I've heard nothing but good about 5startuning. But, I haven't heard anyone on this thread address the negative impact it can cause on your warranty. Please chime in.

Don't you have to use premium fuel with the five star tune?

5startuning and Powertrain Warranty

I am definitely not an expert, but here is the reason I purchased the 5startuning despite concerns about the powertrain warranty:

1. After searching the irv2 forums (and this one), I have yet to find a single person who had an issue with their powertrain warranty after custom tuning. The Magnuson-Moss Act places the due diligence on Ford to prove that any powertrain issue is a direct result of the custom tuning.

2. Living in the mountains, I am willing to take the (small) potential risk of a warranty issue to benefit from the better drivability.

3. My goal is to keep it out of the shop - I believe that controlling the shifting pattern to keep it 3000-3500 RPM going up the mountain takes a lot of stress off the powertrain compared to 4000-4500 RPM.

Again, this is just my opinion and almost everyone on this forum has more experience with the RV lifestyle/mechanics than me.
