I have over 7K miles on my 2014 351 and kind of have the same opinion. Mine seems to do fine, guess the only way to really know is drive one that has had it done.

I will agree you need to have the alignment checked. It may be thousands of miles (for me, it was about 6K) until you notice one tire not wearing so even. By then, it is too late and now you are out a tire (if you want even wear). If they don't want to do it, then get it in writing that if you take it somewhere down the road, they will cover the new tire and alignment.

We have taken ours out 4x's now going from So Cal to AZ and Northern California and I've never experienced any significant sway due to big rigs passing or winds. Maybe the newer rigs handle better but it's been a non issue for us.
I was also skeptical of the CHF. However, it was a free mod that could be undone. On the exact same road I noticed a difference. This is a road that has a lot of dips on the outer edge from the big wheelers. Without the CHF, the coach will pull to the right and I would have to correct it. With the CHF I didn't even noticed the dips. Same thing with the big wheelers passing you like you are standing still. Now, with the CHF and the rear trak bar it drives like a Corvette. Well, like a 22k lbs. Corvette. I ordered a set of longer links since the leaf springs now hit the sway bar when leveled and will be installing them along with the CHF for the rear.

Come to the dark side!

Would have to agree the cheap handling fix is not a drastic improvement and not necessarily needed but it does help and it's free. The main improvement I have noticed is on back roads that are uneven. (I don't have rear trac bar, just the CHF) Didn't notice a whole lot of improvement on a good stretch of interstate. Theses rigs do handle very well without any modification. I was following an older model Winnie on the interstate yesterday that was getting pushed around every time a truck passed while the same truck passing me was not even noticeable.

Well we did it. We picked it up. Got about 100 miles from the dealership realizing the air conditioner wasn't producing (needs charged), and the generator compartment door wouldn't stay latched either. Tried everything to correct, ended up driving back to dealership. We got there at 8:30 this morning, and are finally leaving. Whew! What a day!

Thanks so much! We have been waiting and dreaming for years and finally it's ours! Our kids were so excited we slept in it in the drive last night! Can't wait for Friday to take it out for it's first weekend.
