[QUOTE=cfsoistman;167533]Don, is your detector by the door a CO & LP Detector in one? LP detectors are always mounted low since LP is heavier than air and CO detectors are usually mounted on the wall or ceiling due to CO being lighter than air. Just wondering if there's another model now so when I replace mine I would most likely go with that type of model for additional protection.
You may want to double check that. Usually the Smoke Detectors are close to the kitchen area and the CO Detectors are in the bedroom due to the Generator being close to that area. Our Smoke detector is just above the driver's seat on the ceiling and the CO detector is in the bedroom on the ceiling just outside of the rear bathroom in front of the door.[/QUOTE)
The one by the door says CO and LP detector right on it. It has two lights on it, a red one for LP and a green one for CO. The one in the bedroom is a CO detector too, so I was wrong about that. There is a smoke alarm right behind the driver's seat.
