Thanks to all for your helpful ideas, I have attempted to look at most areas where problems are possible.
My stains have stopped growing, but if indeed they originate from the AC then I would anticipate they will once again grow when we begin using the AC again. So, I want to take a much closer look at the AC seal.

Thanks again

When viewing my ceiling from an angle, I could see where someone scrubbed the ceiling in many areas...leaving a large spot. I'm assuming they used a harsh cleaner which stripped the paint. I will certainly bring it up when we take it back with many other items on the punch list.

Thanks
The seal I had replaced seals the rectangular opening where the roof air fits through the roof. I had it replaced by at an RV service near Augusta Maine last summer. Labor and material was about $70. Sometimes the seal can be tighten down without replacing, but I had blown dirt or debris into the seal when pressure washing the roof.

Thanks, It sounds like the seal is worth the investment. Then the next issue is getting rid of the pink
