That switch is not just an ordinary DPDT switch. It is already set up to reverse both gnd and pwr. The back of the switch should have an X arrangement of copper strips installed. If you don't know what you are looking at then perhaps, as suggested, you should ask a friend with basic knowledge to assist. If your switch is different, disregard this input.

Yes, it should have an X strip or jumper wires crossing, but jumping the centers with the ends on the same side will bypass the switch.

Our Dometic power awning on our 2014 Silverback had a clicking sound when we went on our first trip with it...might go out a foot and stop.....push out on it and it might go a little further....never knew if it was going to make it all the way out or all the way in.....finally got it back in....left it for the dealer to look at.....bad motor....replaced under warranty.

Yes, absolutely correct. I think it's a motor issue. Just the fact it's clicking means the switch is switching and the fuse must be good. Just a guess.

There was a recall from dometic a few months ago. A tech came out on their nickel and replaced my motor.
