Power Shade Fuse

Does anyone know which fuse controls the power shade, radio, map lights, & cig lighter? 2012 378XL. Fuse blew last night, got fuses at FJ but book does not say which one it is. They are a real bear to get to as well.

Go to any auto parts store and pick up a 12v test light. Hook up the clip to ground and touch each fuse on both sides. The one that doesn't light up on one side has popped. Note that some fuses will not be powered up unless the ignition is on or in ACC.

The power shade has a hidden reset button. On our coach it's tucked behind the trim on the upper left side of the windshield area.

Are you sure it is the fuse?

Ours quit because the shade cut one of the wires going to the motor.
It was an easy DIY after a trip to Radio Shack for a small soldering iron and some heat shrink.

It is not just the shade. It is everything on the circuit. Went out when I used the cig lighter.

YEP a fuse.

The 12v fuses are in 4 places, hopefully your problem fuse will be in the panel where the 120v breakers are.

The panel is in the bed room in our 360, they are below the breakers.

If not there then look under and to the left of the steering wheel, under the dash.

Next will be under the hood, last place, there are a few under the steps probably not under there.

ah ha
take a look at this thread, post #22 says fuse # F16 under the dash.

Believe this is correct however the number could change with model
or year. Use the circuit tester to ID the proper number. To access move seat all the way back, approach on your back and roll into position, not easy.

Looks like #16 is confirmed......

It's most likely going to be the fuse panel under the dash on the left hand side. The stuff you mentioned is on the car side of things, not the house side. If you are in a hurry to get it fixed, pull one fuse at a time to see which one is busted.

Just a thought, but on the travel trailer we used to have, whenever a fuse was blown you could tell by an LED next to the blown fuse. On our coach, the fuse panel is on the side of the master bed and it's pretty simple. You'd have to either have a test light or pull one fuse at a time.

Now the question is why did it blow
Did you cause a short while messing with the circuit?
Have you added something new?

Good Day Iggy,

Are you able to identify the remaining fuses? Would be great to have a Reference chart, for all the fuses. Thanks...
