Problem = Solution ?
I believe that common courtesy demands, that any one requesting assistance with a problem must post what the final solution was.
Although the final solution to any posted problem may not have come from the forum, the solution should be posted anyway so we all can learn.
Forum members are here to help, and learn from fellow RVers. RIGHT !!
Maybe the forum administrator should develop some method of tracking and identifying problem submissions, with no known solution.

Agreed....
And while we are at it,people who post a question should at least have the courtesy to come back and engage in the discussion, or thank the folks for the inputs.

While I agree with you I wish that would happen often threads go off in several directions.
I think it would be nearly impossible to track and enforce.

At my work we have forums for our customers to use like this one. The software we use allows for the OP to mark a message in the thread as the -“correct answer”. It also allows moderators/admins to mark messages as either “correct answer” or “assumed answered”. This allows us to create reports of aging threads with no answers and re-engage.
This doesn’t creat 100% response rates but it does create a big difference/improvement. It also makes searching easier.

I do if I remember. But yes a lot of us never come back and repost our findings!

I am always interested in the end result/solution of almost every problem somebody posts about here. If I haven’t posted on that thread, I will subscribe to it so I get daily emails whenever something new has been posted to it. I also check my User Control Panel quite frequently for various reasons, and from time-to-time, I will go through my list of Subscribed Threads to see if I have missed anything or to just clean up the list. When I see a thread where I don’t recall seeing a resolution to a problem, I will open it up to see if there was a resolution, and if there wasn’t, I will often write a new post asking how things are going with the problem and if it was resolved. This brings the thread back to life and very often results in the OP coming back to post the status.
Yes, it would be nice if the OP always came back with the answer without being prompted to do so, but that doesn’t always happen, so I have developed my own “system” to try to get them to do it.

It is just the way of the public. Example, I built a mini storage facility for my retirement 17 years ago. I have a constant running waiting list, people call and always want to get on the list, but when they find a unit somewhere else they never call and let me know. Now I explain to callers that being last on the list could actually be first.

Why was the original question posted to the Georgetown forum? This general question is really of interest to everyone. Even popup owners would like to preemptively see solutions to problems they haven't had yet.
MODERATOR, please move to a more general category!

Please post the solution to this problem once you find it. My guess is we’ll never see the answer.

Heck, when I was in kindergarten my folks couldn't afford a camera and internet hadn't been invented yet, for that matter, neither were computers or smartphones. lol

Yes the Abacus, numbered blocks and a box of Crayons was the way the world worked back then.
My grandson is in first grade and they are doing things on computers now.

Kids have it so easy with computers and tablets in schools now days. There were calculators when I was in high school, but we were not allowed to use them in class.

OP has a very good suggestion and hopefully some will honor it. I'm not sure I would task the moderators to try to enforce the suggested rule.
I have a different suggestion: OPs should include a title that gives a hint as to what the subject matter is. That would help a lot of people to be more helpful.
The FRF Daily included a post entitled "Well, Would Ya Look At That!" That title is not helpful.
