Propane tank... On or off?

Wondering what most people do regarding propane tanks.... Do you shut them off when the coach is parked for a few days and hooked up to power?? Or do you just shut them off when you store them??

I shut mine when I am parked and not camping.

Good question?? I've never shut my propane off. What's the advantage if you're not using it?

If it's parked for more than a few days I shut mine off. There is really no advantage per se.. just more peace of mind and negates the possibility of a leak somewhere. Other than that there is really no + or

I have a 30 amp service on the side of my residence. During the camping season, the rig stays at the house with the propane left on. In the event of a power outage, we now have a second fridge so food doesn't go bad.

Always off when not in use for me. I always have to purge air out of my lines if not used for an extended period of time at the stove so it makes you wonder, if it was always on how much gas would be escaping. Why would you not take the 12 seconds to shut the valve off if you're not going to use it?

Propane's off at home as well as shore power. Battery's off via a master disconnect switch. Roughly a day before we depart battery's turned on, shore power's connected and fridge is turned on. Depending on the length of trip I'll turn on the propane for the fridge or leave it off for short commutes.
