Putting hdmi cable in for tv 378
Hello everyone, I want to put a hdmi cable to my tv in my 378. The receiver is in cabinet above passenger seat. How on earth do you run that cable in place of the stock one?

Tie a double string on the existing wire and pull it out, use one string to pull the existing wire back and the other to pull the hdmi cable.

Much easier said than done in most cases.

It can be done, I have HDMI wired 3 TVs to the same satellite receiver. It takes some time to plan the route, there are many ways to route the wires. Do not try to pull out any existing wires, they are usually clipped somewhere along the way. I went from the sat. box to a 3 way HDMI splitter, form the splitter to each TV. Got the splitter on ebay for around $20.00 If you take your time to run the wires and get HDMI wall plates, you will get a clean factory look.

In a word, don't. I had a new 2014 ACE motorhome with a 40' HDMI cable and couldn't transmit signal from Blu Ray player. Three players later, discovered problem to be too much cable. Recommendation is 5 feet of cable. Dealer installed a wireless transmitter and receiver as ChrisandGarren said and voila, worked great. Do it the easy way.

Maybe. We haven't tried it the way we are wired currently. Also depends on how your surround sound is wired, ours goes through the radio in the dashboard.

I just installed a wireless system action tec. Best buy $200 but of course on Amazon I think it's $150. Works great. Direct TV set up main unit is in living room. At night I can go to the bedroom and watch tv on direct tv. Without buying another direct tv box.

I believe the TV is in the slide out and the cable comes from the overhead above the copilot. Don't think that situation is conducive to the pulling of cables as you suggest. Additionally; HDMI cables are terminated with connectors pre-installed. Numerous comments on this forum about this subject for the Georgetown MH's and most if not all have gone to wireless. Me personally, I could care less if the TV viewing while camping is HD or SD. I get SAT SD from existing coax install. Just a thought.

Putting hdmi cable in for tv 378
I installed a wireless HDMI transmitter in under 30 minutes from start to finish. Even the outside and bedroom TVs work on the wireless system. Then I added a Sony Blueray DVD 5.1 wireless speaker system. In my 378 I put a larger Vizio smart TV. It streams Netflix great when the park offers fast internet. If you don't have a smart TV then use your cell phone to stream it with a $15 mirroring device from Wal mart.

I also did wireless HDMI. Works perfect and I would never consider pulling/routing a long cable in my coach.... and then there is the issue with cable length/signal strength.
