Question on Side Operation/Mechanics

I have a 2015 328TS. On the main slide, under the TV, I can see some plastic links with wires running through them. The links move back and forth as the slide moves in and out.

Are these links actually used to move the slide in and out? I can see that several of them are no longer attached to each other. I have reattached the links several times but they do not hold together.

The slide is still working correctly but I am concerned this may lead to eventual slide failure.

Any input would be appreciated.

Those links shield the electrical wires as the slide goes in and out. They are notorious for coming apart and ending up in a ball trying to jam into the hole. There are a lot of posts on here about them. If they're working right that's great, but I would check on them every so often to see if they're still connected and working properly. Personally, after trying to put them back together 5 or 6 times I took them completely off. I carefully watched the cable go in and back out of the hole at least a dozen times without a problem. Just left them off.

Thanks for the prompt response - we'll keep a watch on them. Happy Camping!
