Question - What do you use to secure cargo below?
In the 378TS XL we have lower cargo vays that go completly across.
I've been trying to think of a way to secure large flat items sucj as chairs from moving around while travel.
I'm not talking really heavy items just things flat enought to lay down.
1" rachet straps?
Cargo Net?
What to you use to trap items down so they don't move around?

Iggy........
I drilled and fastened a number of eyelets, with washers on both sides of the compartments, into the vertical walls of the compartments and securred my chairs using bungee cords to the eyelets.
After a few times, you know which size bungees are needed to do the job.

I use a combination of old shortened spring loaded shower curtain rods & two of those adjustable rods that came with our last rig that were supposed to be used to secure the slideout when traveling.
Right now I can’t remember what they’re called.
Would never use them for the slideout but they work great in the pass-through storage area to secure folded resin tables & chairs.

Iggy, I wish I had that problem. I can't help but my STUFF is so tight that it can't move around. I think the answer is you need more STUFF ( off to camping world) after all it is the Christmas Season. Also "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to you and everyone.....

Maybe the pickup bed style load management bars could help.

I brushed a thin coat of Rhino liner on the compartments.....nothing moves in there. If you do it, be smarter than me and wear breathing protection.

MGOBlue, Where do you get the Rhino liner from and is it expensive? This is a good thread, I've been thinking about it too.

sherman12, I got a gallon online for about $75-$80. The gallon was enough to do the top pass thru compartments as well as the floors of most of the other compartments. It's also easy 'hose out' clean up. By the way, I also put a coat on the steps. Works great!!

I have decided to use a set of small straps with rachets.
I bought a set of 4 - 12 ft cargo strapsfrom Home Depot for $13 and now I think I will find some D hooks to mount in the cargo area. I just need them to secure folding chairs that lay horizontal in the cargo area under the MH floor.
I may just drill a hole in the plastic wall and insert the hook ends of the straps.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Iggy, I would mount small hooks on one side, attach some kind of corded rope with a loop end and mount another hook on the opposite opening and use a good grade bungee across cargo to tie down the chairs etc. If I don't go with the Rhino stuff this is probably what I'll do. Sorta same way I put the tire covers on my rig, rope around back side of tire, loop each end and a small bungee across outside of wheel.
Another concern I had are the infamous hydraulic hoses that are exposed in the pass through compartment. I plan on adding additional zip ties, perhaps alot, and may even wrap them in somthing so stowed chairs and such don't bang on them.

Having stuff move around hasn't been an issue for us and the bays aren't crowded. The bays are all carpeted, presumably factory installed and that seems to provide enough friction. The only thing I have restrained is the 10-lb "squatty" propane bottle for my Q220 grill. I got a plastic ring from CW which I bolted to the floor of one bay. The bottle snaps in from above, but ti fairly easy to take out when we use the grill.

The 2012 year it seems that just didn't want to invest in carpets so all I have is slick plastic. I have purchased some cheap door mats from the 98 cents store and placed them on most of the bottom compartments but it seems they still move around.
Oh well.
