R values of Georgetown

Does anyone know the R values of the roof, walls, and floor, of the Georgetown>

The specs about construction are not very complete.

Don't know the R factors but the walls are 2 inch styroform inserted tightly between the 2x3 square frame. The ceiling is one big piece of styroform with cutouts for the A/c vents and 12 volt wire tracks. The frame for the roof is located at the bottom of the roof section. The fiberglass roofing is then glued to the styroform. The floor is plywood, not sure of the thickness (3/4 to 1 1/4). we went to the factory and watched them build one. Impressive.

Depending on the chemical (i.e.) polystyrene or other in the foam, it has an "R" value of brtween 3.5 an 4 per inch so you are looking at a 7 or 8 R value for the walls and if the roof is 2" it would be the same. The floor could be a little better with thr underlayment.

The roof seems to be 6 inches thick or so at the center and about 3 inches on the sides. I just got done painting the ceiling of mine and I was surprised at how thick the Styrofoam was up there.

HI folks. This is my first attempt at getting on here. We just purchased a 2011 Georgetown 360f, in fact don't have her home yet...it is winter here and the dealer is storing until spring. This is our 8th mh in 12 years. Just got rid of our Itasca Diesel, which was far from satisfactory....or can I say it was the worst piece of junk we ever bought. We have gone back to gas as every diesel we owned was a money pit.

As for the R factor, R8 is probably pushing it but it may be 6 or 7. I suspect the roof could be a bit more. That is good because heat rises and most of your heat is lost in the roof. We have stayed in mh's down as low as -25F..no water in the lines of coarse. Great info on this site. Looking forward to contributing.

r values

In the absence of a definite answer I went to Forest River direct and here is what they told me. If they are correct and I have no reason not to believe them, I am impressed. I am looking to trade a 2003 Newmar Kountry Star. Newmar products are among the best made and the Georgetown R values are better than the Kountry Star.

Roof: the roof goes from 4 1/2 inches at the crown down to 2" at the side. The R value for the roof is 21. The Kountry Star is 16

Walls: The sidewalls are 2" for an R Value in the sidewall of 10. The Kountry Star is 11, a little better probably because the walls are a little thicker than 2"

Floor: The floor is 3" and with the covering and with the heat ducts it has an R Vaue of 19. The Kountry Star is 11

So now we know.

Perfect, thanks for the information. Now, as a new owner who still hasn't used his unit (that would be me) where do I call to talk to FR directly. I want to pull the oven and stove top out and just have the stove top. I want to know if this can be done...thanks

Thanks for the information. I to was impressed watching them construct a Gerogetown. The floor was laid over a steel floor platform that was welded to the Ford Frame. Then the walls were welded to the floor. After that the composit ceiling, with the frame on the bottom and complete styroform contour roof, with the glued fiberglass was attached to the walls. Finally the curved fiberglass on each side was attached to the sides and roof and sealed. The caps, front and rear, were added last. All of the interior was added before the sides were attached to the frame.
We have used our Georgetown in the winter down in Florida( which was cold the last two winters and had no problem keeping warm in freezing weather with the furnace and fireplace.
