Recall from Ford on F53 2011

I just got a recall from Ford for our Georgetown 360 sitting on a Ford chassis. The recall number is 12S27 and is for the transmission range indicator cable (PRND321) is routed wrong and may get cut on sharp edges, resulting in operator not knowing which gear you are in if cable is cut. FYI

We got ours today.
This will give them (Ford) an opportunity to find out where the 1/2 gal of antifreeze has gone in 5K miles.

But before we take it to Ford we have to take it back to our dealer, the front (AC) heat strip doesn’t work.

Got mine today. It's still winter here in the Colorado foothills, so don't know when I'll be able to get it to the dealer. I'll have to call them sometime this week.

We received our recall notice today also. Don't have the step repair completed yet. Will need to make an appointment this week. Ya'll have a good one.

Got ours yesterday. Called the Ford number to find the closest dealer than can handle the F53 and then called the dealer recommended by Ford to set an appointment to have the recall done. Apparently the dealer has be swamped with calls on this and does not have the parts yet. He said "call back in a couple of weeks". Seems like Ford would have distributed the parts before issueing the recall!

Got our notice too. And yes, the dealer should be prepared to handle the repair by the time the customer rolls in the service lane.

Woody Anderson Ford did not have the parts in house so they will call us back. Figures...

Got ours first of the week, Got an apportment Monday week. I hope they have the parts in by then.

Got my notice last week, took my rig in Tuesday for some other warranty work and got it back Thursday, all done.
