Removal of Bedroom LCD TV

I have the 2010 Goergetown 350 TS. In the bedroom there is a 19" Jensen LCD TV that runs on 120VAC or 12VDC. I wanted to run a 12VDC fused power supply directly from the battery pack to the TV so that it can be used without the inverter or being plugged into shore power. Behind the TV there seems to be a fair sized cavity, through which I can run my power line, and that could be used for storage with the right modifications. Has anyone figured out how to remove the TV so as to gain access to the area behind it? I think I'd like to mount a cabinet door over the cavity behind, to which I could attach the TV. This would also give me some extra storage in the bedroom. I've just got to figure out how to hinge it and lock it so that it can't come open unintentionally and is secure enough to remount the TV. I need help with this pesky issue.
Thanks for any feedback.

Finding structure to mount the door to is going to be your biggest problem. You may have to build it yourself. Before you start chopping the wall apart you might try one of these to look into the outlet hole and see what you can see.

Thanks for the advice Lou but first I need to get the TV off the cabinet. Then I can look inside with the gadget or my naked eyeball.
Did you get your username from flying hercules aircraft? The windshield of the cockpit you are seated in reminds me of the Hercules. I lived near Comox BC where they had a large airbase. I had many friends in the service and I heard them use that term "Herks" often when refering to the Hercules aircraft. They had a fairly large SAR squad and they had another squardron that flew a lot of anti submarine patrols out over the pacific. I'm uncertain wher the "Herc" fit into the tasks they were performing but they referred to the "Herc" often.

Lloyd

Yes, Herk is from the C-130 Hercules that I flew in the Air Force for 33 years. My last flight before I retired was in C-130E tail number 63-7769
That photo was from a mission I flew during Iraqi Freedom.

Did this already in our 2010 GT 378. Check out this thread in the Mods section of this site.

This makes a great TV cabinet, plus the space behind is very usuable.
