Removing Furnace in 2004 Georgetown 303

I need to remove the furnace to get to the fan motor that's rubbing. Any tricks? Is it just laying over the opening with a couple screws on the accessible side? The propane line is on the right and easy to remove. Hopefully the wires will have enough slack to pull it out. Thanks for any help... Jim

On my 2008 it was only held down by three screws screwed into the floor on the opposite side of the heater frame from the vent.

The wires on mine where not long enough. I had to cut them and install insulated spade connectors to put it all back together.

The vent fitting is screwed into the side of the coach. The heater pushed onto the vent fitting from inside and on mine it was kind of tight. So basically I removed the gas line, cut the wires, removed the three screws and then pulled pretty hard to get the heater off the vent stack.

While you have it out you might as well open the burner compartment and blow it out. It gets all sooty in there and sometimes will prevent the heater from lighting reliably. That's why I had to remove mine.
