I use a strap wrench, a plastic handle with a rubber or in some cases braided strap that you wrap around the filter and hook onto the handle. never had a OEM filter wrench other mentioned. You might find one at Sears of one of the big box stores.

Got it! I was able to slip tool into compartment, loosen then remove filter. Success!

I can't imagine accessing the water filter thru that small opening. Also why would they put such a large door over that hole?What is above that area on the inside of the coach?
