Replacement Fresh Water Drain Plug

I think it would be a good idea to have a couple of the fresh water drain plugs on hand “just in case”. Does anyone know the specific size or have an item number for these?

Thanks,
Charles

I think they are standard threaded caps for the 1/2" male end on the end of your low point drain.

Does anyone know where the fresh water drain plug is? I have a 2005 Forest River, Georgetown XL, 36'. I bought it used about 6 months ago and when I add water to the fresh water tank, it just leaks out after a couple minutes. The manuals on these things have a lot to be desired.

Instead of plugs, if possible screw on a 1/2" PVC 1/4 turn valve. That was the first thing I did on my Cherokee this year...did not trust that plug and the possibility of it falling off or getting lost.

i also took the 1/2" drain cap off and replace it with a 1/2" elbow, then a short piece of pvc pipe to the edge of the trailer, and finally a 1/2" quarter turn valve. I used a hanger and plumbers support tape to hold the pvc pipe to the frame. I can now drain the tank just by reaching down and opening the valve without having to crawl under.

I like the idea of the valve. Thanks so much for the recommendations.

I completely redid my entire system with 90 degree ball valves.

For fear of losing the fresh-water drain cap, I replaced mine with this ball valve and love it - https://www.lowes.com/pd/AMERICAN-VA...lve/1000235765
