Replacing the fireplace

Can anyone tell me what they did to replace the fireplace? My fireplace doesn't work and I've called Mike Burns at Customer Service and he wasn't much help. He pretty much says you have to just go look for one to buy which is code for good luck.

I've heard people say "go to Lowe's". I'm looking for more detailed information like which make or model of fireplace fits into the location we have in the 37 ft Georgetown. It will get start getting chilly again and I'd really like to have a working fireplace. It's a shame too because the fireplace was one of the reasons we bought the Georgetown but has seldom worked since I bought it.

Also, if you bought a fireplace for someplace...how hard was it to remove and replace the fireplace???

Just take the screws that are around the perimeter of the fireplace out and slide it to you. Comes out real easy. Then take the dimensions of the opening and go to Lowe's/HomeDepot and find a match. Shouldn't be too hard.

I think these are smaller than the residential units here's some nameplate dataimplex Model BF8000ST MOD.C w/interal 1400 watt heater
Dimplex
North American Limited
1367 Industrial Road
Cambridge, ON N1R 7GB
Canada Tech Service 1 888 346 7539

This unit was used in the 2012 maybe 2011 model years. Sure they could tell you dimensions you need to compare.
