Residential refrigerator

How do we keep things from shifting during travel? We just had 1/2 gal iced tea bust all over the floor after we stopped. I know we had rails on old rv fridge but what can we do on the new ones???

Curtain rods, spiderman's web, etc. It's hard to use the RV rods because they are too short for res. fridges. Don't forget to use the bungee cords included with your coach.

We have never had the door open while traveling and just this once a plastic container of tea fell out when door was opened. We use both bungies and one to tie in all the handles.

We use both bungee cords and another cord to wrap around the door handles. We tried to use curtain rods but they just got in the way. We store as much as possible in the drawers and most of all just are very careful the first time we open the doors. Oh and only open one door at a time.

Storage in Refer

We have a 2013 XL 378 and finally went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought the sticky shelf material and storage bins for the shelves. It has worked really well since and no accidents. We also use both bungee cords on the doors and a velco wrap around the handle. Before this fix the doors opened and things went bump in the night several times.

We actually stretch the band more and wrap it around the handles then stretch to the hook. Works well and we don't need to worry about anything extra...oh, and watch out if you don't block the milk in, if it's on the main shelf....take a right without the band wrapped right and you'll be crying over the spilt milk everywhere...lol

We use that stick shelf liner stuff along with multiple shallow Rubbermaid containers. Never had a problem with that set up.

I the foamy shelf liner in the fridge and that works great. I also try to put most of the liquids in the door. I make and x with the bungees to hold the door shut.

I bought one if those child proof fridge door/cabinet openers and it works awesome on the residential fridge - straps don't work up top alone at all. I will snap a pic tomorrow.

Try cutting pool noodles into pieces and putting them around things to keep them from moving. When parked put some of the pool noodles on the slide corners to protect your head.

Good idea on the pool noodles. Saw somebody doing that on the edges of their slides on our last trip. Pretty slick!

Those air filled packing bags they use for shipping work well too. I have a TON from amazon, just cram them around stuff like packing a box and close the door. And then bungie it closed.
