Rock guard

Is a rock guard necessary on the 364TS with the factory mudflaps?

It depends on if you value your toad.
A mud flap will stop rocks coming off the tires but if you hit a tire casing the Roadmaster Rock Guard will stop it from flying up and hitting the car.
I had this happen and the tire casing actually damaged the large Roadmaster rock guard side flap and cracked it at a high point which deflected the tire casing from hitting my car.

Now if you have an old clunker and don't care about it don't get one.
The yellow line shows where the tire casing hit and was deflected.

The mud flaps in the fender wells do stop about 80% of the rocks, if they are wide enough (1" further out on the inside edge and outside edge) and low enough to the ground.(within 6")
The mud flap on the back, as long as it is at least 4" off the ground, will stop the rest, and it will be a great help when you have to drive over the alligator in the road.

I use a Protect a tow.

Protect-a-Tow

My Tod is a Honda Fit so is very low and I find the Protect A Tow helps a great deal. It is also easy to hookup as I just rap it up over the tow bar when we unhook. When I hook up I just snap two clips on to the car.
