Rocking and Rolling

Every time someone moves, walks or does anything, our '05 Georgetown XL 359ts seems to rock. I can feel everything in the front that happens in the rear and so on.

When I set up, I drop the jacks until all are touching the ground and then level by raising the low points.

Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

Bill

Rockin N Rollong

Is your system automatic or manual? Usually the automatic system lowers all the jacks and then the jacks work in pairs to level the coach. If you're doing it manually you should also use the jacks in pairs so you do not twist the frame.. If you extend the jacks to to the point of being level then some weight is still on the leaf springs which will result in some bouncing when you walk; Try raising the coach a little more so it's still level; but take some more weight off the springs. This should reduce the rocking.. Try not to raise it where the rear wheels are off the ground; not good on the drivetrain; and it may allow the coach to roll off the jacks as the emergency brake may be compromised.

I assume my system is manual since after the extend all switch causes all to touch the ground, I adjust the jacks with the switches while watching a couple of levels.

I am careful never to raise the wheels off the ground but maybe I should try taking a bit more weight on the jacks.

Thanks for the reply.
