I am curious what is the roof material used on gtown ve
its not a soft tpo roof like my hr was
its not a hard fibreglass like its bigger brother
its kind a in between
what is it and how do i care for it
this year is done because when i had it winterized at the dlr
cleaning the roof was part of the package

Funny you should ask, Brian.

Another poster on this Forum claims his dealer said it was vinyl. At least one online dealer claims it is fiberglass. I frankly think they are guessing, since it is not mentioned anywhere on Forest River's website or brochure. I'd like to hear from someone with Forest River; maybe one of us can ask our rep.

That is listed for the standard model. The VE brochure says nothing about the roof.

What is it about the roof that makes you think it's not fiberglass? Is it the look? The feel?

it has a softer feel to it slightly pourus
like a impregnated fibre mat
service dept claims a 10 year warranty thats longer than i plan to own it
the regular gtown is a hard surface

Is it possible that they both are fiberglass, but the standard Georgetown has a gelcoat or resin coating that makes it feel harder?

On most of the trailer built today the roof is a rubber menbrane edpm or a vinyl menbrane made by alfa. On most of the fr trailers nowaday it is the alfa vinyl menbrane which is garanteed for 12 years and this warranty is pro rated.
